The Autism Spectrum Disorder: Philanthropy Opportunity and Research

Interested in getting to know the members of the BBB Society and helping out a great cause?

Join the BBB Society team at this year's Walk for Autism Speaks Now, this Saturday! We'll be meeting at 9 am in front of Fresh Grocer to head over. Participation is free, but it's a really great cause that supports autism research, so donate if you can! There will at least 20 of us walking!

Want to know whats know more about Autism and contemporary research?

Researchers may have found a gene associated with the Autism spectrum disorder named NrCAM, or Neuron/glial-cell adhesion molecule. This gene encodes a protein that acts like an anchor between neurons helping create an optimal synapse distance for neural signaling. It has also been found to be a necessary part of developing correct neural connections.
